homemade applesauce.

Now that it is October 1, it is ok to I share that I made pumpkin chai tea, pumpkin muffins, an apple braid, pumpkin oatmeal cookies and homemade applesauce this past weekend. I LOVE FALL. and fall flavored things πŸ™‚

Here is a simple recipe for homemade applesauce:

10-12 large apples, peeled, cored and cubed. (I used ginger gold, honeycrisp and gala)

1/3 cup sugar

1 Tbs cinnamon

a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice.

After apples are peeled cored and cubed, put in crock pot on low. Add sugar, cinnamon and pumpkin pie spice; stir.

Set timer for three hours.

After three hours are up, use a potato masher to break up softened apples more. I let the apples sit for one more hour and used the potato masher one more time before I put the applesauce into a couple mason jars.

One word: delicious.

Happy Fall!!
